Turning Classroom Knowledge into Real-World Experience

As co-founder of Dee & Dee Brown LLC, this entrepreneurship course allowed me to experience what it truly means to launch and grow a business while pursuing a college education. Instead of learning through hypothetical examples, I had the opportunity to apply classroom concepts directly to our own company and see how each assignment strengthened our business foundation.
Throughout the semester, we developed a business plan, completed financial analyses, built a professional website, created marketing strategies, and documented our progress through blogging. Every project contributed to a larger goal: creating systems that will support the long-term success of our business. This course demonstrated that entrepreneurship is a process of continuous improvement, planning, and adaptability.
One lesson that stood out to me was the importance of documenting the journey. Looking back at everything we accomplished over the semester helped me recognize how much we have grown as entrepreneurs. Challenges became learning opportunities, and every assignment provided practical knowledge that we can continue using beyond the classroom.
Working alongside my mother has also shown me the value of collaboration and perseverance. Building a business together while balancing school and everyday responsibilities has required dedication, communication, and a willingness to keep moving forward despite obstacles.
As I look toward the future, I am excited to continue growing Dee & Dee Brown LLC while applying the skills and knowledge gained through this course. Entrepreneurship is not a destination but an ongoing journey of learning, innovation, and service. I look forward to continuing that journey and building a business that creates lasting value for our customers and our community.
This course has reinforced my belief that with determination, education, and a strong support system, anything is possible.
