๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Veteran. Student. Business Owner. Still Showing Up.

Today, I sat in the parking lot at Washtenaw Community College before going inside.
And if I’m being honest—it wasn’t one of those “motivated” days.
It was one of those days where everything feels heavy.
Where your body is tired.
Where your mind is full.
Where you could easily turn the car around and go back home.
But I didn’t.
This Is What “Still Showing Up” Looks Like
People see the highlights.
They see the wins.
They see the listings.
They see the business posts.
They see the “we’re building something” moments.
What they don’t see is this:
Sitting in a parking lot, taking a deep breath, telling yourself…
“Just go in.”
No camera crew.
No perfect lighting.
No energy.
Just a decision.
What the Military Taught Me Still Applies
As a veteran of the United States Air Force, one thing was drilled into me early:
You don’t wait until you feel ready.
You move anyway.
Discipline is not about motivation.
It’s about commitment.
There were days in the military where you were tired, sore, and mentally drained—but the mission didn’t stop.
And today?
That same mindset is what gets me through school… and business.
Real Life: School + Business + Health + Everything Else
Right now, I’m balancing:
College classes
Building Dee & Dee Brown LLC
Managing my health
Showing up as a mother and partner
And trying to grow something meaningful from the ground up
That’s real life.
And some days, it’s not pretty.
But here’s the truth most people won’t say:
๐Ÿ‘‰ You don’t need perfect days to make progress.
๐Ÿ‘‰ You need consistent ones.
Why I’m Sharing This
Because somebody needed to see this version—not the polished one.
If you’re:
Tired
Overwhelmed
Questioning if it’s worth it
I want you to understand something:
You’re not behind.
You’re in the middle of building.
And the fact that you’re still trying?
That matters more than you think.
Still Showing Up Is the System
This right here—this moment in the parking lot—is part of my system.
Not a fancy planner.
Not a perfect schedule.
Just this:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Show up anyway.
That’s the system that built everything I’ve started.
And it’s the same system I’m using to keep going.
Final Thought
I’m a veteran.
I’m a student.
I’m a business owner.
And today, I showed up.
That’s enough for today.
And tomorrow?
I’ll do it again.
