We Didn’t Just Start Showing Up

In August 2025, Dominique and I made a simple decision.
We signed up to volunteer at the American Legion Post 46 table at the Ypsilanti Armory.
It wasn’t about content.
It wasn’t about visibility.
We just showed up.
We helped with setup, greeted visitors, and supported an organization that represents service and commitment.
At the time, it felt like a small moment.
Looking back, it wasn’t.
It was part of a pattern.
Because showing up didn’t start there—and it didn’t end there either.
One thing I’ve learned over time is this:
Service doesn’t always come with recognition.
But it always shows in your consistency.
After my time in the Air Force, there wasn’t a big transition moment. No spotlight. Just real life.
And now, service looks different.
It looks like:
Showing up in our community
Building something with my daughter
Staying consistent, even when no one is watching
At Dee & Dee Brown LLC, we don’t just talk about building.
We live it.
Learning. Applying. Building.
This video is just one moment.
But the message behind it is bigger:
We didn’t just start showing up.
We’ve been doing it.
